Service Description

Bay to Bay Charters is a certified International water taxi service offering safe passage to or from Friday Harbor, WA and Sidney, BC. Departure times from Sidney BC to Friday Harbor WA are offered daily from 8:00 - 11:00am. Departure from Friday Harbor to Sidney is available only once per day at 12:00 noon. Crossing time is approximately 1 hour (weather permitting). $595 for first 2 passengers and $45 per additional, bicycles are $35 each. Prices are all inclusive of fuel, port fees and taxes, but excluding the CBSA fee* (see below). * Effective March 31st 2022 the Canada Border Service Agency (CBSA) has imposed a fee for water taxis, similar in that they charge for their Customs and Immigration service, that they perform at all ferry terminals, seaports and airports with international passengers arrival in to Canada. This fee is in the form of a annual "Cost Recovery Agreement" with Bay to Bay Charters for clearance when passengers are disembarking into Canada with Bay to Bay and is similar for all commercial carriers. This cost recovery fee is currently $700 CAD per landing and is payable by Bay to Bay Charters, whether there is one (1) passenger on board or our max. eight (8) passengers on board, so its less expensive per person with larger groups. Crazy I know, but please don't shoot the messenger, I'm just following their rules !!! * By booking this service, if you or any of your party is inadmissible into the country of landing for any reason and need to be returned to the original port of departure , you will still be liable for portion of passage accordingly. * $100 deposit cancelation clause, a 48 hours notice is required if you need to reschedule for another time or day, based on availability. If you're canceling all together, you will receive a 50 % refund of your deposit within the next 72 hours. Thank you and we hope to see you on board some time soon !!!
